
Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie

2 sticks of Salted-butter, browned and cooled
1 cup of dark brown sugar
1/3 cup of white sugar
1 tablespoon of vanilla
1 egg+ 1 egg yolk
1 tbsp of dry milk powder
1 3/4 cup of all purpose flour
1 tsp of baking soda
1/2 tsp of baking powder
1 tsp of fine salt
1 cup of semi sweet chocolate chips
1/3 cup of dark chocolate chips
1 chocolate bar, chopped into pieces
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Melt the butter on the stovetop and stir constantly until it turns amber and brown. Turn off the heat and add the dry milk powder. Pour into a large heat proof bowl and set aside.
Mix the dry ingredients in a separate bowl and set aside.
In the bowl with the brown butter, add in both sugars, eggs, and vanilla. Stir vigorously.
Gradually add in the dry ingredients and mix until well incorporated. Add in the chocolate and stir to combine.
Butter an 8” cast iron skillet. Press in the cookie dough and flatten it evenly in the pan. Sprinkle more chocolate chips on top. Bake for about 18-20 minutes until golden brown. Serve with ice cream
